“This difficult time is a perfect time to implement automation” – Kuba Barwaniec, CEO of Pergamin summarises the year 2022!

What challenges Pergamin faced in 2022 and what changes our users can expect in the coming time? Jakub Barwaniec, CEO of Pergamin, talks about the experiences of the past months, news and plans in an interview.

The past year has been a time of many changes and challenges for the whole world. How did it look like in Pergamin? 

This year reminded us that peace and security are not something given once and for all, but thanks to it we also had a chance to appreciate the opportunity to work and be together every day. It was a very important year for Pergamin. We started with a significant investment, where three venture capital funds trusted that Pergamin could be the best tool for contract automation. We paid a lot of attention to building the team, especially the team that creates our platform daily and also supports our clients in their work. This has already translated into a higher quality of our product, and I am convinced that next year will be even better.

 

What new features have you introduced in recent months? 

This year we devoted ourselves to building the product, especially in two areas. First of all, we created completely new API modules from scratch, which we call Transaction API. It communicates well with our client’s corporate systems and is very easy to integrate because it does not require writing special connectors. The second area we focused on this year was the construction of our signature wall, i.e. the integration of as many different electronic signatures as possible. Beginning from the long-term Asseco SimplySign signature to the mSzafir one-off qualified signature. 

It’s all because we want our clients to conclude all contracts using our system – even those that require a special form to be valid under the pain of nullity.

 

2022 was a difficult year for the economy. Have regular customers decided to stay with you during this uncertain time? Have you noticed a change in market sentiment?

 

It was another hard year for many industries. It seemed that the post-pandemic period would bring Polish business a breath, but the tragedy of war brought us into another crisis. However, this difficult time is also a perfect time to implement automation, because high inflation and the associated increase in the cost of running a business encourages us, and even require us to look for this type of savings. We work with our clients daily and develop the platform in the direction they need the most. I hope that we have managed to address almost all of these expectations and from this place, I would like to say thank you to all of our clients for their trust. I hope next year will bring even more satisfaction from a cooperation with us.

What are your plans for the coming year?

 

The New Year is preparing a lot of improvements in our product. The first days of January will bring significant changes. Our platform will change beyond recognition during this time. For that moment we call these changes Pergamin 2.0. We will focus in particular on three main areas. The first is to streamline the process of editing and negotiating contracts and similar documents. The second area is the addition of another electronic signature provider to our platform, which will enable and improve, in particular, the conclusion of contracts with foreigners. The third area is even greater facilitation when it comes to integrating our system with our clients’ business tools. All this so that you can integrate Pergamin without writing a single line of code.
