Pergamin · Where QES is required — and where it simply pays off

Where QES is required — and where it simply pays off.

required

Employment contracts

Employment, B2B, mandate and specific-task contracts. Since 2023 a QES signature is equivalent to a handwritten one for every form of employment.

required

Foreign nationals

Residence applications, work permits, passports. Pergamin's QES is accepted by the Office for Foreigners.

required

Assignments & transfers

Assignment of receivables, factoring, transfer of rights. The Civil Code requires written form — QES satisfies it.

required

Powers of attorney

Notarial, litigation, for the company register and tax office. QES is accepted by KRS, CEIDG, ePUAP, courts and tax offices.

pays off💵

Commercial contracts

B2B, distribution, supply. QES wherever a foreign counterparty demands eIDAS QC instead of a scan with initials.

pays off💵

Real estate

Preliminary, long-term lease and developer agreements. QES shortens the signing cycle from 14 days to a single afternoon.

required

Public procurement

Tender bids, ESPD, SWZ documents. Public platforms (e-Zamówienia, miniPortal) accept QES only.

pays off💵

Finance & insurance

Loan applications, policies, banking instructions. The regulated sector accepts QES as the primary written form.

Pergamin brings the qualified signature down to the same simplicity we know from online banking — with the same legal weight that paper at a notary carries.

Pergamin · Frequently asked questions about QES
FAQ

Frequently asked questions about QES.

Is QES legally equivalent to a handwritten signature?
Yes — the eIDAS Regulation (910/2014) explicitly states that a qualified electronic signature has the same legal effect as a handwritten signature across all 32 EU and EEA countries. In Poland this is additionally confirmed by the Trust Services Act.
Do I have to buy a card reader and cryptographic cards?
No. Pergamin uses remote QES — the qualified certificate is held in a secure HSM at the trust provider (mSzafir, SimplySign, Signius, SK ID). The signer authorises use of the certificate remotely, via SMS and liveness.
How long does the first identity verification take?
For people who don't yet have a certificate — on average 2–4 minutes (an ID scan + a liveness selfie). Every subsequent signature with the same certificate takes about 90 seconds. A certificate is usually valid for 1–3 years.
Is Pergamin's QES accepted by ZUS, KRS and the tax office?
Yes. The certificates come from qualified providers on the EU Trusted List, which is binding on every public authority. Pergamin generates a PAdES file (a PDF with an embedded signature) — ready to file with KRS, e-Zamówienia, ePUAP and JPK.
What happens if the document is modified after signing?
Any modification after signing invalidates the signature. Pergamin uses a SHA-256 hash and an RFC 3161 timestamp — any PDF verification tool (Adobe Reader, Acrobat, a public verifier) will instantly detect that the file has been changed.
How much does a single QES signature cost?
Get in touch and we'll tailor the best offer for your package. The price covers the qualified certificate, identity verification, an RFC 3161 timestamp and 10 years of audit-trail archiving. Team and volume plans — see pricing.
